Mission and Vision

Skills Canada Nunavut is a non-profit organization working to reposition skilled trades and technologies as a first choice career option for Nunavut youth. In partnership with the territorial and federal governments, schools and communities, industry professionals and educators, our organization is helping to creatively address Nunavut’s need for a strong skilled workforce.

Skills Canada Nunavut guides students toward available opportunities in skilled trades and technologies through events, workshops and programs like Skills Canada Competitions. Skills Canada Nunavut and its partners in business, industry, labour, education, and government, are helping to secure Nunavut's future skilled workforce needs, while providing free, hands-on experiences for youth.

Our Purpose

Through initiatives such as the Territorial Skills Competitions,  Skills Clubs and Camps, Cardboard Boat Races, and trade show demonstrations, Skills Canada Nunavut strives to engage youth in all aspects of the territory's trades and technology sectors.
