Sills Canada Nunavut (SCN) is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspire and engage Nunavummiut youth in trades, technology, and service-sector careers.

We work with industry, government, organizations, and institutions to host school and community-based activities, skills competitions, workshops and camps.

We created community events throughout the Territory to introduce our Skills Clubs, and talk about careers in the skilled trades and technology sector to students (and teachers).

Our signature event is the annual Territorial Skills Competition. We are a part of Skills/Compétences Canada and associated with WorldSkills International.

Skills Nunavut is transforming the future workforce of Nunavut by:

• Empowering Youth: Providing students with hands-on Experience in trades to spark interest and confidence in these careers.
• Supporting Communities: Reducing reliance on external labor by encouraging local talent to develop skills needed for Nunavut’s industries.
• Creating Opportunities: Offering resources, events, and programs that make trades and technology education accessible to students in both urban and remote areas.
