The Territorial Skills Competition provides opportunities for students and apprentices to compete in skilled trade and technology competitions. Competitors across Nunavut demonstrate unique abilities, enhance their skills, and strive for excellence in their chosen skill area!

Hosted annually in the April, the Nova Scotia Skills Competition brings together young Nunavumiut competing for the honour of being crowned best in Territory in their chosen field, and for the opportunity to join Team Nunavuta at the Skills Canada National Competition.

The Skills Canada National Competition is the only national, multi-trade and technology competition for students and apprentices in the country. For more information about the Skills Canada national competition, please visit the Skills Canada website.

Every two years, eligible competitors from across Canada  partake in the WorldSkills Team Canada Selection Event (WSTCSE). The WSTCSE is used to ensure that the most qualified competitor represents Canada on the World stage in each skill.
